Wirewound Rectilinear Potentiometers

Penny+Giles' wirewound rectilinear potentiometers are legacy products that are custom manufactured to specific order requirements, and are available in three ranges.

 

Model LP1 is flange mounted and is available with stroke lengths from 0.5" to 6.0". Can be specified for use in temperatures up to 200°C and can be supplied with single or dual electrical output.

 

Model LP2 is supplied with self-aligning bearing mountings and is available with stroke lengths from 0.5" to 6.0". Can be specified for use in temperatures up to 200°C and can be supplied with single or dual electrical output.

 
Model LP6 is flange mounted and is fitted with a spring loaded shaft and ball ended probe, enabling the instrument to follow positional variations of the actuating medium without the need for attachment. Can be supplied in stroke lengths from 0.75" to 4.5".
Can be specified for use in temperatures up to 200°C and can be supplied with single or dual electrical output.

Wirewound Rotary Potentiometers

Penny+Giles' wirewound rotary potentiometers are legacy products that are custom manufactured to specific order requirements, and are available in three ranges.

 

Models RP/E are built with end terminals in synchro sizes 08 to 18.

 

Models RP/S have side terminal configuration and can be built with multi-cup potentiometer systems or where multi-tapping points are required. They are built in synchro sizes 09 to 25.

 

Models 3410 are end terminal precision potentiometers available in synchro size 15, with resistance values of 1k, 2k or 5k.

 

These rotary potentiometer designs include a low mass rotor assembly which minimises rotational inertia. Low contact noise and low torque are achieved by using twin noble metal wipers and slip ring brushes. A working life of between 20 and 50 million operations can be achieved, depending on options selected.
